Because I hate the thought of having to ADD to it! Because today I weighed in at 196. Which I'm pleasantly surprised by seeing how I did NOT eat LC at ALL this week. I ate a lot more candy that was necessary. I'm gonna get back on the wagon and if it's still up next Friday, then I'll change it. Hopefully, I'll be able to move it down some more next week!
On to more exciting news....we're getting a treadmill!!! I'm SO excited. I'm not sure when we'll actually get it into the house, but I'm super excited that hubs said yes! So, my plans for today include making a place for said treadmill and cleaning out E's closet. She's outgrown her 18 months clothes and I need some space in the closet! Guess I better get to it if I want to get it done today!

Yeah, I'm late
I realize that today is Saturday and I'm just getting around to an update. Yesterday, I went shopping with my sis, then we had supper, played outside until dark, watched a movie, then hit the sack. Today, we went to a birthday party that pretty much lasted all day with us playing outside!
Anyway, the official weigh in is......194! I'm SO excited I can't even explain it. I'm 9 pounds away from my mini goal!
I have weighed every day this week, just to keep up with it. But I'm sure after today, I'll be waiting a couple of days to get the sugar I've had today out of my system! It started with a very innocent piece of cake, that led to another piece of cake, that led to a LOT of candy. So, I'm gonna get back on plan tomorrow, and not weigh for a few days!
That's all I have to say about that. ☺

Something worked
...because I weighed in at 197 this morning!
I'm keeping up with what I eat again today to see how things work out for me. I don't really know what did it. I stayed under 20g carbs yesterday, added more fats, and went back to eating the same things I ate last week.
Generally I have 1 egg and 1 slice of lunchmeat turkey cooked in 1 tbsp. butter for breakfast. Then, I ate a salad with lettuce, cheese, cucmbers, olives, bacon pieces and ranch dressing for lunch. Yesterday, my snack was a pepperoni stick and 2 oz. cheddar cheese. Then for supper I had 2 turkey burger patties with 1 oz. cheddar cheese on top, a serving of coleslaw, and some cucumbers with sour cream. That's mostly what I ate last week (though my snacks and suppers varied, but stayed LC), and I lost 3 lbs. After yesterday, I was down 3 lbs.
The worst part is I wanted to eat sooooo bad yesterday. It wasn't that I was hungry, I just wanted to eat. Anything. But I remained on plan and it paid off. So far today, I'm on plan and hoping to remain there and see some good results in the morning. I'm a little concerned about the weekend though since that is ALWAYS a weakness for me.
On another positive note, I've drank 100 oz. of water everyday this week! So, I'm looking to keep the momentum going and see another 3 lbs. gone next Friday! Until then......

So Frustrated
That describes how I've felt all week long.
Over this past weekend, I didn't do so good with LC. Sunday was the worst day when everything I had was high carb. I weighed on Monday morning just to 'see the damage'. I had gained 4 lbs; back to 200. I assumed it was water weight because I could tell my hands were a little swollen. So, I have drunk my 100 oz. of water every day this week and it hasn't budged the scale. I must be very sensitive to carbs for my weight to shoot up that much over the weekend and not be water weight.
So, today I'm trying to figure out what I've done wrong. I'm tracking everything I eat and how many carbs it is in hopes of finding the problem. I'll try to be back with a weigh in tomorrow, good or bad.

Regularly Scheduled Weigh In
I actually remembered to post here on a Friday! That's great!
Today, the scale was a friend, again. 196; that's 3 more lbs. this week with a total of 6 lbs. in 2 weeks!
Starting Monday, hubs is gonna go LC with me. I hope to start back with my exercising and maybe kick it up a notch also....we'll see about that. I'm trying to learn to take one day at a time and not worry about the big picture so much, but to think about what I need to do right now to help. Sometimes, for me, that might mean a a few chocolate chips just to help me feel better. Since I am an emotional eater, I try to put it off for as long as I can before I give in hoping that it will go away. Sometimes, I just gotta have it though.
Another thing that has helped (I think) is I've stopped drinking anything with caffeine after 4pm at the latest. I've been sleeping much better and I think that has helped with my eating habits. I've read lots of weight loss articles that talk about getting enough rest. But it wasn't until I went to the National Sleep Foundation website and read that it takes caffeine 6 hours to get out of your body that I knew why I couldn't fall asleep at night. So, I cut off my caffeine intake by 4 pm and I can usually fall asleep pretty well by 11pm, when I go to bed.
Wow. I didn't mean to do all that rambling. I guess that's it for now. I'm really jazzed about the progress I've seen and hope it continues. Have a great Easter weekend!

YAY!
I'm stopping by for an update just in case I don't get by here tomorrow (which is very likely, since I'm gonna be pretty busy).
Even though Friday is my official weigh in day, I got on the scale 'just to see' this morning. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was 196.5! YaY!!! That's 2.5 more pounds this week; and 5.5 in 2 weeks! Double YaY!! Hopefully, I can get that last .5 lb. gone for tomorrow.
I haven't exercised this week, because I've been babysitting and she gets here TOO early in the morning for me to get up, fix everybody breakfast and exercise before she gets here. So, I've forgone exercise this week. As for eating, I've had a few slips. I have eaten a couple bowls of cereal (and maybe a few M&Ms), but the majority of the time has been LC. I'm VERY happy about my results and hope I can keep up the momentum. At this rate I should be able to meet my goal of 15 lbs. in 5 weeks.
Hopefully, next week I will not be babysitting and will be able to get back to my exercising. I need to feel the burn! ☺
